A realistic approach
As well as conducting objective and evidence-based analysis, Kim Baxter and Associates believe it is important to understand a client's broader situation and lifestyle, and how this may affect ongoing treatment and recovery. By spending time with you, it is often possible for the physiotherapist to show how to prevent the problem happening again. In all cases emphasis will be on a realistic approach to treatment tailored to each client's needs and abilities.
Every opportunity will be given for you to ask questions about your condition, and we will explain how to manage it and prevent it in the future.

Your first consultation
During your first 45 minutes your physiotherapist will take a detailed history of your condition together with any relevant medical history. A physical assessment will then be carried out to determine the clinical diagnosis of your problem.
We will discuss our findings with you and propose a treatment plan whichs may include a wide range of hands-on therapy techniques, the use of electronic and electrical apparatus, exercises, accupuncture and advice for self-treatment and prevention of further problems. We will then start treatment.
Subsequent treatment sessions will last between thirty and forty-five minutes.
